Our son's due date was scheduled April 29. It's May 2 and he decided he rather stay instead of getting up and start working.
Typical.
We do have an induction schedule for May 6 (this Friday) in the late evening. So if our little guy doesn't come before then the doctors are smoking him out this weekend. My wife is doing fine but she's extremely uncomfortable. I imagine being 40 weeks pregnant would be somewhat confining. It's not a total surprise that our third child is late. Our first child, Joelle, was 6 days late. Our second child, Alaina, was 8 days late. So our boy being late just confirms he's a part of the family.
Waiting around for a baby to come isn't new to us. But I do feel badly for my wife who has to basically sleep with a basketball in her belly. Honestly though, there's a little part of me that wants the little guy to come during his scheduled induction so we could see Civil War. "Hey honey, how about a movie and a baby tonight?" How often do you get to ask that question?
The things remaining on my "to-do" list is . . . well . . . nothing really. I only need my phone. It has everything. My bible, books, twitter, music, etc. The only thing I really need is to pack junk food. But I'm sure there's an app for that.
